There's this couple that moved in newly in my compound when I was in Aba. The woman was a stay-at-home wife while her husband was working, he was transferred from Enugu to Aba. He is hardworking, dedicated and doesn't joke with his family. He is also very handsome.
They usually quarrel. So one morning, the woman came to my room and we greeted.
"Stop checking his phone then and restore peace in your home."
"Never! you want other women to collect him from me?"
I told her to take it easy. She later left.
A few days later, on a Saturday, she came back and was asking about the location of a particular restaurant because they were still new in Aba.
When I requested to know her reasons for asking, she said that a lady will be waiting for her husband there.
She was with her husband's phone and a message entered, she forwarded it to her phone and deleted it from her husband's phone.
I didn't want to tell her where the restaurant was, she kept pleading and I later told her. She also requested that I should escort her, but I refused at first. But when she promised she won't make troubles, I agreed. She said that I should get ready in an hour and left.
She came back and we left for the restaurant. It was just a 30-minute drive from our place. We entered the restaurant and looked around. There were few people seated, a lady was sitting alone at a round table of four. We guessed she must be the one. She was tall, light-skinned, decently dressed and wearing light makeup on her beautiful face.
She was sipping a glass of wine.
My neighbor quickly went to where the lady was and stood beside her.
"Are you Vera?"
"Yes, how may I help you?"
My neighbor gave her a sound slap on her right chin, took the glass of wine and poured the remaining wine on the lady's head. The lady stood up and shouted at her.
"Are you insane? what's wrong with you?"
"Husband snatcher! Next time don't invite someone's husband to a restaurant. I'm Obinna's wife!"
I rushed and dragged my neighbor out of the restaurant and we left.
When we got home, she pretended like nothing happened and went to her apartment. I don't know whether I should be angry or not.
So the next Monday, her husband came back from work earlier and was looking furious. A few moments later they started quarreling again. But it was just the man's voice that was heard unlike before. The man angrily came out and drove off.
My neighbour quickly ran to me crying. She said she had done the worst.
The lady that she assaulted happened to be her husband's boss.
Their company was proposing to collaborate with another company for a contract. The meeting later didn't hold because of what she did to the woman and that was how the company was dropped from the contract.
Her husband was issued a sack letter when he got to the office that Monday morning.
The man lost his job because of his wife's insecurity.
