So one day, I added a new picture to my profile. A guy who saw it came to my inbox to compliment me. We've been friends on Facebook but we don't chat.
He sent me a message.
"Hi, beautiful. I love your picture."
He was funny and jovial.
As time went on I discovered, he's usually the first to chat me up whenever I come online, even at odd hours. I don't know how he does that.
He would ask me about how my day went and what I was doing at the moment and all that.
Soon he started telling me sweet things.
Normally, when I see such chats from guys, I wouldn't reply at all. I will just skip or delete the message but honestly, I enjoyed reading those messages the guy sent even though I didn't reciprocate.
I would rather appreciate him and he will be like "I am here to make you happy".
Funny enough, I can remember telling him that he was brainwashing me with his lines.
He knew that I was married and that made me feel free with him but from his chat, I would say he didn't respect that fact.
So one day, when we were chatting as usual, he said "What if your husband sees these messages?
I didn't reply to him.
That question alone made me think twice.
Later on, he continued sending me messages. I wasn't replying but I couldn't resist reading his messages.
All of a sudden, I started asking myself questions.
"Is this guy using jazz on me? Why do I keep checking for his messages."
I blocked him and deleted our chats.
It was as if scales fell off my eyes, as it happened to Apostle Paul.
Like what was I doing, I was almost falling for someone that I don't know from Adam.
It was then that I realized that cheating is very easy to start and if not stopped early, may cost you your relationship or marriage.
Many people out there end up in relationships they did not plan for, even without knowing. Sometimes because they've built stronger bonds with strangers even more than their partners, to the extent they didn't realize when they started having feelings for them.
To remain faithful, you need to work it out and be ready to let go of some people in your life, no matter the happiness you feel they bring you.
